We open the season on Friday, September 25, 2026 with Kellylee Evans: inspiring, Juno Award-winning, 4-time Juno nominated singer-songwriter. Kellylee is a high-octane, chameleon-like performer whose improvisational vocal style embodies jazz, soul, pop, and hip-hop. She has toured extensively throughout the world and opened up for artists as varied as John Legend, Tony Bennett and Willie Nelson captivating audiences along the way. PLEASE NOTE: Due to construction in the Bernard Childs Auditorium (new seats are being installed!), this show will be held at the Deep River Community Church, 115 Deep River Road.

Sultans of String, the multi-award-winning, 5-time Juno-nominated band thrills audiences with their genre-hopping passport of Celtic reels, Flamenco, Django-jazz, Arabic, Cuban and South Asian rhythms. On Saturday, October 24, 2026 Sultans of String play Deep River along with their guest singer-songwriter Shannon Thunderbird, a Ts’msyen Elder originally from the Pacific Northwest coast of British Columbia. Together they celebrate musical fusion and human creativity with warmth and virtuosity, with world rhythms that excite audiences to their feet!

On Wednesday. November 18, 2026 folk icon Connie Kaldor, CM will serenade us, celebrating 45 years in show business along with her 18th album. A 3-time juno-award winner, Connie began her career in the Canadian wave alongside artists Stan Rogers, Ferron, and Valdy. She is known for her enormous stage presence, her unforgettable melodies, and her emotional depth as a songwriter. Connie is a member of the Order of Canada, a Queen’s Golden Jubilee Medal recipient, and is the first songwriter to receive a Western Literature Association.

The Barrel Boys  will drive the winter blues away on Saturday, January 16, 2027. This powerhouse bluegrass band features rich vocal harmonies, killer picking, and a fun-loving, down-to-earth stage presence. Informed by the deep traditions of bluegrass, country, old-time, and Americana, The Barrel Boys have crafted their unmistakable sound into an exuberant and soulful experience. Their 2025 album Chicken in the Window has earned them nominations for “Vocal Group of the Year” and “Traditional Album of the Year” at the 2026 Canadian Folk Music Awards.

A Brief History of Smoking Cigarettes wafts into Deep River on Saturday, February 13, 2027. The play follows writer/actor Deanna Jones’ personal history with cigarettes in a touching and hilarious one-woman show that uses puppets, live music, and video to share true stories, wide-reaching musings and playful audience interaction. This multi-dimensional show shines a light on how one of the biggest and ugliest industries changed the world and influenced Deanna’s life.

Three Roads Home brings together three of Canada’s most beloved singer-songwriters – James Keelaghan, Irish Mythen and Stephen Fearing – for an unforgettable evening of songs, stories, and shared heritage on Wednesday, April 21, 2027. All three artists draw on deep Irish roots that continue to shape their music, storytelling, and sense of identity. Together on stage, these three acclaimed artists create an intimate, moving experience — a journey through personal history, musical kinship, and the timeless power of song to connect people across generations and oceans.
