The darkest days of winter are now behind us, so it’s time to look forward to spring and some excellent live concerts. Mark March 26th, April 20th and April 28th on your calendars, so that you don’t miss any of these great visiting artists.
Steven Taetz is a jazz, blues and contemporary singer/songwriter based in Toronto. He performs original material as well as innovative interpretations of classic hits. He will take us to the era of cocktails and tuxedos. Steven will perform in Deep River on Saturday, March 26th. Listen to him here:
On Wednesday night, April 20th, plan to enjoy the fiery rhythms of flamenco dance and Spanish guitars when Ritmo Flamenco will be in town. Sensuous movement, bright costumes, and fast moving heels will take you on a journey to southern Spain. The accompanying traditional guitars will draw you in to the profound emotions of this performance.
To round out the spring offerings, THEOP will present Christine Tassan et les Imposteurs – a gypsy jazz and swing group. This well-travelled band has won Jazz Album of the Year Opus Award in 2017 and they were nominated for Show of the Year the next year. Their instruments and voices will lift your energy on Thursday, April 28 as the days get longer and we move well into spring.
Search any of these performers on YouTube, and you will see what great entertainment is coming to Renfrew County.
Final location of each performance and COVID requirement details will be determined in early March. All health requirements that are in place will be adhered to. Watch here for the updates as they happen!
