Don’t pack your lawn chair away yet! There’s just one week to go until THEOP’s Garage Music Tour when you will need it to sit and enjoy some great music!
The evening of Friday, September 10 will see three artists perform from garages — two in Deep River and one in Chalk River. These artists will rotate locations the next day and perform again on the Saturday afternoon, September 11. All Friday evening performances will be at 7 pm; Saturday afternoon performances times are at 2 pm or 4 pm.
The artists are Mimi O’Bonsawin, Rory Gardiner and the Durham County Poets – see posts for information on each of them. Click here to see the full poster and find out where and when each of these artists will be performing.
The venues are 44A Main Street in Chalk River, 21 Frontenac Crescent in Deep River and the Keys Conference Center at 6 Lakeside Drive, Deep River. A big shout out to hosts John Hoyle & Kylia Smith, Anne & Marc Audet, and the Town of Deep River for welcoming these artists!!
THEOP strongly encourages audience members to use Active Transport to get to the venues — do consider walking or biking! If driving is necessary, please check HERE for parking information.
Bring your seating of choice to the venue: lawn chair, blanket. Depending on the state of COVID restrictions at that time, please also bring a mask if that is still an outdoor requirement.
There are no tickets being issued for these performances. It is a pay-as-you-can performance with a collection jar at each venue. The performances are sponsored by the Department of Canadian Heritage.
